Hey friends, it’s Chubs again.
Guess what time it is? That’s right—Back to School.
My hooman packed up her backpack, put on her shiny shoes, and headed off to that big building where she learns all the things. I’m proud of her, of course. But I won’t lie—I miss her.
Summer was full of long trail rides, extra snacks, and lazy afternoons together. Now? Things are changing. Our rides are shorter, squeezed in between school and chores. I don’t get to see her as much. And don’t even get me started on how early I have to work for my treats now.
But I’m trying to look on the bright side. Our time together might be shorter, but it’s still our time. And when she walks into the barn after a long day and wraps her arms around my neck? Yeah, that’s still the best part of my day.
So here’s to fall routines, weekend rides, and the kind of friendship that doesn’t care how busy life gets—it just keeps showing up.
And maybe, just maybe, she’ll sneak me some broccoli in her lunchbox leftovers. A pony can dream.
