Top 5 Things I Do When I’m Bored – A Guide by Chubs

Hey friends, it’s Chubs again.

Let’s be honest—sometimes the pasture is quiet, the hay is just… hay, and my hooman is off doing school or life thingsthat do not involve me. That’s when I have to get creative. So today, I’m sharing my Top 5 Favorite Things To Do When I’m Bored.

(You’re welcome in advance.)

1. Pester Finnick.
This is a classic. Tried and true. Whether it’s bopping him on the nose, standing just a little too close to his feed bucket, or pretending I saw a ghost behind him—Finnick is my number one source of entertainment. He’s dramatic. He flails. It’s fun for everyone. (Except maybe him.)

2. Rearrange My Stall.
Sometimes the hay just isn’t where I want it. So I move it. And the water bucket. And the salt lick. I once got my entire flake of hay up onto the top of the water trough. Art takes effort, folks.

3. Perfect My Dramatic Stare.
This one is all about technique. I stand near the fence, look off into the distance, and sigh loudly until someone notices and brings me a snack out of pity. Works about 73% of the time.

4. Lay Down and Itch My Belly.
Honestly? Pure joy. Nothing beats a good roll in the dirt followed by a satisfying belly scratch. I wiggle, I groan, I make weird faces—and I don’t care who’s watching. It’s self-care.

5. Make My Hoomans Think Something’s Wrong.
Sometimes I stand really still and stare at nothing. Other times, I groan for no reason at all. They rush over, all concerned, and then I blink slowly and ask for a carrot with my eyes. I don’t mean to mess with them… okay, maybe I do. But I’m bored!

So there you have it. Being a pony with too much time on his hooves requires creativity, commitment, and a mildly annoying sense of humor.

Until next time, stay entertained and keep your hay out of your water bucket (or don’t—I won’t judge).
