Hey friends, it’s Chubs again—and do I have a juicy bit of barn gossip for you!
Ever since Finnick’s dramatic trailer incident (which I wrote about, in great detail, because it was a lot), things around here have been a little tense whenever the trailer comes out. Not that I blame anyone—getting your back legs hanging out the back while your front end’s still tied up front is not the ideal travel experience.
But don’t worry. Because guess what?
Big changes are coming.
I heard it straight from the grapevine—okay, fine, I eavesdropped during a feed room conversation—but apparently, my little girl’s mom has been on the hunt for a bigger trailer. One that fits Finnick’s oversized ego and his body.
And here’s the best part:
She’s trading trailers with her mom. Yep, Grandma’s stepping in to save the day, and a shiny new (well, new to us) trailer is headed our way very soon.
Now, I haven’t seen it yet, but rumor has it… there’s a ramp. A ramp, friends. Do you know how fancy that is? No more hopping up like some kind of mountain goat. Just a nice, civilized stroll into our personal rolling hay chariot.
Even better? This means we’re back in business for fall trail rides—October and November! That’s prime riding season, people. Cool breeze, crunchy leaves, overnight adventures where I get extra snacks because “you worked so hard today, Chubs.” I live for it.
So, while Finnick’s still giving the current trailer the side-eye (and honestly, who could blame him), we’ve got hope on the horizon—and four new tires to carry us into autumn.
Stay tuned. I’ll report back once this glorious ramp situation arrives.
Until then—travel safely, friends. And if you hear any good barn gossip, pass it along. I’m all ears.
