Hey friends, it’s Chubs again—reporting with big, exciting news from the barn!
The new trailer has arrived. And let me tell you… it’s fancy.
After the whole Finnick-falling-half-out-of-the-trailer-while-still-tied incident (10/10 do not recommend), my little girl’s mom went on a mission to find us something better. Something bigger. Something safer. And guess what? She found one! They traded trailers with Grandma, and now we’ve got a shiny new ride parked by the barn.
At first, I wasn’t sure what to think. I mean, the old trailer and I had history. It’s the one I rode in for years. I knew that trailer—every creak, every corner. It smelled like memories and hay dust and snack wrappers from long-ago rides.
But this new one? Ohhh, friends. It has a ramp.
Do you know what a ramp is? Because I didn’t. I thought it was a made-up word at first, like “easy loading” or “just one more step.” But no—it’s real. A glorious sloping floor that lets you walk right in like royalty, without hopping, scrambling, or doing that awkward step-down that makes your knees feel weird. You just walk. In. And walk. Out.
It’s also roomier. Not just for Finnick (who is very pleased to no longer be wedged in like a loaf of bread), but for me too. I’ve got space to shift, to stretch, to ride in comfort and style. It’s like the limousine of horse trailers.
And you know what this means?
October and November trail riding season is ON. Cooler weather, crunchy leaves, overnight trips, and early-morning rides through the woods. My hooves are ready. My mane is floofy. My heart is full.
So yes, I’ll always be a little sentimental about the old trailer. But I think this new one and I? We’re going to make some pretty great memories together.
Let’s ride. 🍁🐴
