I’ve Been Told Fall Is Here… Time to Get Fuzzy

Hey friends, it’s Chubs again.

So apparently, fall has arrived.

I didn’t get an official letter or anything, but the hoomans keep saying things like “The leaves are turning!” and “It’s cooling down out there!” and my personal favorite:
“Chubs, you’re already starting to get fuzzy.”

Well… they’re not wrong.

am starting to get a little extra floof around the edges. My sleek summer coat is saying goodbye, and in its place? Fuzz. It starts slow—just a few fluffy patches on my neck and chest—but give it a couple more weeks and I’ll be looking like a walking teddy bear with hooves.

Honestly? I don’t mind. Fall is one of my favorite times of year. The air is crisp, the trail rides are longer (and less sweaty), and there are crunchy leaves to step on. My hooman wears cozy jackets, and I get more hay because “the grass is fading.” That’s a win-win if you ask me.

The only downside? I’ve been warned that once the fuzz gets real, so does blanket season. You know the one. My big purple blanket.

Look, I don’t hate it. It’s warm, soft, and it makes my little girl smile. But it also makes me look like someone tried to gift wrap a couch. I allow it because I’m a good boy… but let’s just say I wear it for warmth, not for style.

So here we are—at the beginning of The Fluffening.

And I say: bring on the fall. Bring on the breezy trail rides, the cool mornings, and yes… even the purple blanket.

Because when you’ve got good hay, good hoomans, and a fuzzy coat coming in, life’s looking pretty cozy. 🍂

Until next time—stay warm, stay fluffy, and step loudly on the crunchy leaves. It’s good for the soul.
